A German Metal AM Provider Wants Tighter Quality Chains

Additive Willmann, an industrial metal additive manufacturing service bureau based in Löfflingen, has chosen amsight's production-level quality management software to strengthen its data backbone. The move comes as metal AM shops move from prototyping into serial production, where every part needs a clear traceability story.

What amsight Brings to the Floor

amsight connects process parameters, powder batch data, machine logs, post-processing records, and inspection results at the individual part level. Instead of reconstructing quality evidence after a build finishes, Additive Willmann can document the full route from raw powder to customer delivery in a structured system. That matters for aerospace, medical, and automotive customers who increasingly demand auditable additive manufacturing records.

Jörg Willmann, Founder and CEO of Additive Willmann, said the partnership was about more than adding another digital tool. He noted that traceability is one of the biggest benefits, giving customers more confidence and supporting the shift from one-off projects toward repeatable serial production.

Why This Matters Now

Metal powder bed fusion is entering a phase where qualification and repeatability determine whether a shop wins defense or aerospace contracts. Additive Willmann's customers need proof that every variable from material certification to final inspection was controlled. amsight's platform is designed to capture that chain without forcing operators to manually reconcile spreadsheets after each build.

The companies will showcase the partnership at Additive Pulse X Days on September 30 to October 1 at Additive Willmann's Löffingen headquarters.
