AML3D posted $12.5 million in FY26 revenue, up 70% year over year, and recorded its first profitable half-year as US Navy contracts accelerate its ARCEMY roll-out.
Australian Metal AM Maker Turns Profitable
AML3D reported full-year revenue of $12.5 million for the 2026 financial year, up 70% from the prior corresponding period. The company also recorded its first half-year EBITDA profit in the second half of FY26, from January through June 2026, posting $608,000. That profit is small but meaningful: it is the first time the company has moved into the black on a half-year basis since listing.
The order book peaked at $29 million during the year, comprising $20 million in new orders and $9 million carried forward. AML3D enters FY27 with $16.8 million of contracted work already secured and an estimated $78 million sales pipeline.
US Navy Is the Engine
The growth is being driven by demand for AML3D's ARCEMY metal 3D printing systems inside the US Navy's Maritime Industrial Base supply chain. From a standing start in 2023, AML3D has signed contracts to deploy 14 ARCEMY systems into the Navy's supply chain, plus two further orders for high-value US industrial manufacturing.
During FY26, the company also signed a $2.6 million contract to supply non-safety critical replacement components used in US Navy submarines. That demand is expected to continue into FY27.
Beyond Defense
AML3D is not relying entirely on military contracts. During FY26, the company deployed its first ARCEMY system to the Tennessee Valley Authority's power generation repair fleet. TVA is the sixth-largest power supplier in the USA and the largest public utility. AML3D also deployed a system to US industrial manufacturer FasTech, which supplies parts for defense, aerospace, energy, and other sectors.
UK and AUKUS Expansion
AML3D entered the UK defense market in FY26 through a material feasibility program with BAE Systems. The company also agreed UK and European distribution deals. Entry into the UK market gives AML3D defense relationships across all three AUKUS partners: Australia, the UK, and the USA. The company is working with all three to secure additional contracts.
AUKUS Vendor Qualification program onboarding was completed during the year, along with a $2.24 million program developing next-generation advanced manufacturing technology in Australia.
Cash and Capacity Plans
AML3D finished FY26 with a $26.8 million cash balance. The company plans to invest $12 million to double US manufacturing capacity and $5 million in a UK Technology Centre to support European demand. In Australia, it will finalize the $2.24 million next-generation technology program.
The company enters FY27 in a position of strength, according to Managing Director Sean Ebert. The $16.8 million in orders, $78 million pipeline, and strong cash position give AML3D room to execute its multi-year growth plan without relying on equity raises.
