The Italian manufacturer drops the TruPrint name and unveils the xBUILD portfolio, giving its metal 3D printing systems a fresh visual identity and a new product naming system.

ATLIX has rebranded its metal 3D printing portfolio as xBUILD, replacing the TruPrint naming it inherited from its days inside the TRUMPF Group. The change took effect on September 1, 2026, and all new machine orders now carry the new branding.

The xBUILD lineup covers four systems. The xBUILD 1000 is a compact unit focused on premium part quality and high precision. The xBUILD 2000 targets outstanding print quality without compromise. The xBUILD 3000 adds full-field multi-laser capability for industrial production. The xBUILD 5000 handles large critical parts and high-volume serial manufacturing.

Under the hood, nothing changed. The machines keep the same performance, quality, and reliability specifications as before. Only the naming architecture and the visual design on the build chamber graphic panel are new. The redesign makes the distinctive 'x' a prominent visual element across the machines.

Marino Ferrarese, head of sales and marketing at ATLIX, said the rebrand reflects the company's evolution since it left the TRUMPF Group. 'Since the launch of ATLIX, we have had a very positive year, with strong customer confidence and growing interest in our company and our international vision for industrializing additive manufacturing,' he said. 'The new product names and visual identity reflect the evolution of ATLIX as a company.'

ATLIX plans more announcements in the coming months. Ferrarese said several developments are already underway and the company has new things it cannot wait to present at Formnext. The xBUILD portfolio is part of a broader xWORLD ecosystem, with the 'x' representing the combination of expertise, technology, and application.

The rebrand is a calculated move. ATLIX needed to distance itself from TRUMPF's legacy and establish an independent identity in a crowded industrial metal AM market. A new name alone does not win customers, but it does signal that the company is operating on its own terms. For buyers evaluating metal 3D printers, the xBUILD systems are the same reliable machines under a different label.
