BigTreeTech PandaKnomi V1.1.0 Adds New Status Indicators and A2L Support

A Small Update That Fixes Annoying Behavior

BigTreeTech released firmware V1.1.0 for the PandaKnomi on August 3, 2026. The update does not overhaul the interface. Instead it fixes the kind of small frustrations that owners notice every time they start a print.

The biggest change is the printing status indicator. In previous firmware versions, the default printing GIF played for 2.5 seconds and stopped, leaving the display blank mid-job. V1.1.0 makes it loop continuously for 30 minutes, or until a new status change kicks in. For anyone who watches the PandaKnomi during long prints, that one change alone justifies the update.

Four New Status Indicators

The firmware adds four new GIF-based status screens. One shows the type of build plate the printer has loaded. Another displays calibration lines during first-layer calibration. A third signals that the chamber is cooling down. A fourth handles an additional printing status state. These are the kinds of indicators Bambu Lab's own display shows natively, and the PandaKnomi now catches up.

A2L Compatibility

V1.1.0 also adds 18-byte serial number compatibility with the Bambu Lab A2L printer. If you run a PandaKnomi on an A2L, the serial number now reads correctly. That sounds minor, but incorrect SN handling can prevent OTA firmware updates from completing, which is exactly the kind of issue that strands users on outdated builds.

WebUI Fixes

BigTreeTech patched several WebUI bugs in the same release. Wi-Fi connection flow now works reliably. Hyperlink redirection from the browser-based configuration page no longer hangs. The image download and export function, which previously failed silently, now completes. These are backend fixes that most users will never think about until they need them.

Firmware and image version both sit at V1.1.0. The update is available over the air from the PandaKnomi settings menu, or as a direct download from the BigTreeTech GitHub releases page.
