CNC Kitchen's new video compares two popular laser scanners on accuracy, software, and real-world scan quality.
The latest scanner face-off is here
CNC Kitchen posted a new comparison today that puts the Creality Raptor Pro against the Revopoint Metro Y Pro. Both sit in the same price bracket, but they take very different approaches to scanning.
Where the Metro Y Pro wins
The Metro Y Pro has a clear edge in structured light accuracy. Reddit measurements put it about 14 percent more accurate than the Raptor Pro in that mode. Revopoint also updates its software more often, and the interface gives you more control during scans.
Where the Raptor Pro fights back
The Raptor Pro offers a larger field of view. If you scan big parts or full-size objects, that extra coverage matters. Creality's hardware also lets you trim point clouds before fusion, which saves processing time on larger jobs.
The bottom line
Choose the Metro Y Pro if you need better detail and wireless convenience. Choose the Raptor Pro if you scan large objects and want a wider capture zone. The right pick depends on what you actually scan, not which brand has better marketing.
