Floor-care brand Dreame used IFA 2026 to announce an unexpected move into consumer 3D printing.

Dreame Technology showed up at IFA 2026 with more than robot vacuums. The Chinese company, best known for floor care, announced plans to launch a line of consumer 3D printers aimed at creative users. Pricing and specs are still under wraps, but the move signals that 3D printing is being treated as a mainstream consumer category.

What Dreame Announced

Alongside a new action camera called the LEAPTIC Cube, Dreame confirmed it will enter 3D printing. The company did not share detailed specs or a release date, only that the printers are aimed at creative users rather than industrial shops.

That positioning puts Dreame in direct competition with brands like Creality, Elegoo, and Anycubic, all of which dominate the budget and mid-range consumer 3D printer market.

Why Now

Dreame reported 91% revenue growth in the first half of 2026, driven by international sales and new retail locations. The company also claimed the top spot for robotic vacuums in Europe in 2025, with a reported 42.1% share in Western Europe for the first half of 2026. That kind of financial momentum gives Dreame room to diversify.

The 3D printer move is not entirely out of the blue. Dreame has been expanding beyond floor care. The action camera launch at the same event is proof the company wants to be a broader consumer tech brand.

What To Watch

If Dreame enters with competitive pricing, it could shake up the crowded consumer printer market. The brand recognition from its vacuum line gives it a head start on trust. But the printer market is unforgiving: early specs, build quality, and software support will determine whether this is a real entry or a passing headline.
