HeyGears launches the Reflex RS Turbo, a high-speed resin printer that keeps the detail without cutting corners. Here is what it means for desktop users.
HeyGears has launched a faster version of its already solid resin printer, and this time the speed actually holds up. The Reflex RS Turbo uses an upgraded amber screen and a revised motion control system to push layer times down to an average of 4.5 seconds. That is a 33 percent improvement over the standard RS, according to HeyGears, and it comes without the resolution loss that usually plagues fast-mode printing.
What changed under the hood
The X/Y resolution stays at 29.7 microns, the same as the original. The contrast ratio climbs to 566:1 thanks to the new amber screen. The printer also adds the C5 Z-axis module, a stiffer frame, and a dedicated screen cooler to keep performance consistent across long runs.
The biggest software addition is Dynamic Motion Algorithm 3.0. It analyses each layer individually: cross-section area, part spacing, and quantity. Then it picks from 18 different motion control profiles to keep quality high while pushing speed. The result is that the printer slows down on difficult layers and ramps back up when it can, rather than running at a flat, compromised speed all day.
Adaptive Z compensation
Resin printing has a hidden variable: how the supports meet the part. If the Z offset is off, the bottom layers deform or stick too hard to the supports. HeyGears addresses this with adaptive Z-axis compensation that supports up to 180 material profiles. Each resin gets its own combination of angles, hole sizes, and edge types tuned automatically. The goal is less manual re-leveling and fewer failed prints mid-run.
Who this printer is for
The Reflex RS Turbo is aimed at users who need consistent, detailed output in volume. Miniature painters, prototype shops, and small-batch manufacturers are the obvious audience. HeyGears is selling the machine directly, with bundles that include matching wash and cure units. The price position puts it in the same range as the original RS, which makes the upgrade easy to justify if you have been waiting for faster cycle times.
The Reflex RS Turbo is on sale now through the HeyGears online store.
