Valencia-based Rollo Studio presents its U Collection of 3D printed home furnishings at Paris Design Week, featuring PLA tiles that mimic ceramic grout finishes.
Valencia-based Rollo Studio has launched its U Collection, a series of 3D printed home furnishings that were debuted at Paris Design Week's 2026 Good Selection showcase at Btiment Raulin. The collection comprises pendant lamps, table lamps, wall lights, and side tables designed to look like curved ceramic tiles, though they are actually assembled from plastic 3D printed pieces with real grout.
Founder Rollo Bryant used a specific finishing process to achieve the tile-like appearance: pieces were sanded, filled, and primed before being sprayed with a color basecoat and a thick clear gloss, similar to a car finish. Real grout was used between segments to maximize the ceramic tile effect.
The collection consists of nine designs available in seven colors from a palette of 15, divided into three themes: Basics, Raw Earth, and Burnt Earth. Customers can also request their desired RAL color at no extra cost since each piece is made on demand. Prices range from EUR 962 to EUR 2,837, with delivery estimated at four to six weeks from the Valencia workshop.
This is not Rollo Studio's first 3D printed lighting collection. In 2024, the company presented its Sun Lamp Collection at Milan Design Week at Palazzo Giureconsulti, featuring wall lights made using sand binder jetting 3D printing technology.
