A new Monsha'at report puts Saudi Arabia's 3D printing market at $320 million in 2025, growing 20.5% annually toward $1.7 billion by 2034.

Saudi Arabia's 3D printing market was worth about $320 million last year. By 2034, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises expects it to reach $1.7 billion. That growth rate, 20.52 percent annually, is fast enough to double the market roughly every three and a half years.

The report, carried by the Saudi Press Agency, points to aviation, automotive, healthcare, and manufacturing as the sectors pulling the market forward. Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam are emerging as the three geographic hubs where additive manufacturing is concentrating.

Prototyping leads the way

Prototyping is the dominant use case. Companies are using 3D printing to shorten product-development cycles, reduce the cost of moving from concept to production, and lower the risk of expensive tooling mistakes. The same pattern is visible globally, but Saudi Arabia's push fits squarely inside Vision 2030, which emphasizes localizing advanced industries.

Monsha'at's deputy governor for entrepreneurship, Saud Al-Subhan, said prototyping is one of the most important stages in developing vital products. The authority has incubated enough companies to generate over $80 million in revenue and develop 263 prototypes. More than 8,000 entrepreneurs have used its innovation centers and labs.

How it compares globally

The global 3D printing market was valued at $34.45 billion in 2026 and is forecast to reach $69.26 billion by 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence. Saudi Arabia's projected 20.5 percent CAGR puts it well above that global clip. The global product-prototyping market, which overlaps heavily with additive manufacturing, is expected to grow at 11.41 percent through 2031.

If the projections hold, Saudi Arabia will move from a niche adopter to a meaningful regional player. The catch is that growth projections for emerging manufacturing markets often assume policy support, workforce development, and supply chain investment that do not always arrive on schedule. Vision 2030 has the capital. Execution will determine whether the $1.7 billion target becomes real.
