The FilaDC i10 stores ten spools inside a sealed cabinet that dehumidifies air with molecular sieves rather than heat, so filaments stay dry between prints without degrading.
What the FilaDC i10 actually does
Damp filament is the cause of popping, stringing, and weak layer adhesion for anyone printing with PETG, TPU, or nylon. Most solutions involve heating the filament to drive moisture out, but that approach only works when you actively dry a spool before printing. Once that spool goes back on an open shelf, it starts pulling water from the air again.
SUNLU and INSLOGIC built the FilaDC i10 to solve that specific problem. It is a sealed cabinet that holds ten spools on two shelves. Inside, air circulates through a bed of molecular sieves that trap moisture. When the sieves get close to saturation, a PTC heating element warms them to release the trapped water before the assembly cools and starts absorbing again. The cycle runs automatically: absorb, exhaust, cool. There is no consumable desiccant to recharge or replace.
Why this matters for regular printers
Heated dryers work well for rehabilitating a wet spool, but prolonged heat can soften some filaments or warp spools over time. The i10 avoids that entirely by keeping the chamber at room temperature. The unit does not heat filament, and it does not humidify. It simply removes moisture from the air inside the cabinet.
The trade-off is that a spool already soaked with water still needs a dedicated dryer before it goes into the cabinet. The i10 is a storage and maintenance solution, not a rescue machine. For daily use, that distinction is exactly what most printers need.
Specifications and practical notes
The cabinet measures 395 x 300 x 508 mm externally and 385 x 258 x 488 mm internally. It weighs 6.3 kg. Spool capacity is ten at a maximum of 200 mm diameter by 67 mm width. SUNLU says units can be stacked, but the manual warns against placing heavy objects on top. The door seals with a rubber gasket and a magnetic catch.
A touch display on the front shows humidity levels and cycle status. The three-stage process is visible there: absorbing, exhausting, cooling. Noise levels stay low compared to a heated dryer running for hours, which makes the i10 suitable for living spaces.
Pre-orders open September 15, 2026 at 7:00 AM UTC. At launch, the FilaDC i10 will be available through SUNLU and INSLOGIC channels. For anyone tired of fighting moisture in hygroscopic materials, this is a practical answer that stops the problem before it starts rather than treating it after each print.
