The SUNLU i10 promises to fix wet filament and failed prints. After a week of testing, here is how it actually performs.

The Problem It Claims to Fix

Wet filament is one of the most common causes of stringing, layer separation, and brittle prints. Most makers dry their spools between prints, but ambient humidity in garages and basements pulls moisture back into the filament within hours. The SUNLU Inslogic i10 is a sealed filament storage and drying box designed to keep spools dry between jobs.

Setup and Build Quality

The i10 is a compact plastic enclosure with a heated base, a humidity readout, and a bracket system that holds one or two standard 1 kg spools. Assembly takes about ten minutes. The lid seals with a rubber gasket, and the control panel sits on the front face. The build feels utilitarian, not premium, but everything lined up well on the sample unit.

You set a target temperature and humidity, and the unit runs a heating cycle to pull moisture out of the filament inside. A fresh dry cycle takes roughly six hours on the standard setting. After that, the i10 holds a steady low humidity inside as long as the lid stays closed.

Real-World Testing

I ran three spools of PLA and PETG through the i10 for seven days. Two of the spools had been sitting open in a 68 percent humidity garage for a week before going in. After a full dry cycle, the PLA printed cleanly with no stringing on a benchy. The PETG also showed normal layer adhesion and surface finish.

The real test was leaving a dried spool inside the sealed unit for five days without opening it. When I pulled it out and printed, the results stayed consistent. That is the main advantage over a standard dry box: active humidity control, not just passive sealing.

Limitations

The i10 fits one to two 1 kg spools comfortably. Larger 3 kg spools do not fit under the heated base, so this is really a solution for standard-sized filament. The heating element is gentle, not aggressive, so a severely waterlogged spool may need a second cycle. Noise is minimal, but the fan is audible in a quiet room.

At its price point, the i10 does what it promises. If you print in a humid environment and keep your filament open between prints, active drying makes a measurable difference. If you already store all your spool in sealed bins with desiccant, the upgrade path is smaller.
