TCT Shenzhen moves to a bigger hall and expands to 80+ conference sessions, signalling China's shift from machine buying to solving real production problems.
TCT Shenzhen is growing up. This year's show moves from Hall 3 to Hall 15 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, and the exhibitor count has climbed from 200-plus to more than 250.
More telling is the conference program. It has jumped from 50-plus sessions last year to over 80 in 2026. That expansion points to a market that is moving past simply buying machines and toward solving specific application, production, and business problems.
The agenda splits medical and dental into separate forums, which suggests dental has matured beyond an emerging application. The conversation there is now about workflow, throughput, cost, regulation, and production scale.
A new Thermal Management and Electronics Manufacturing Forum highlights copper alloys and green-laser additive manufacturing. Shenzhen sits at the center of AI hardware and robotics manufacturing, so the timing is intentional. Local companies need better ways to manage heat in compact, high-power devices, and copper AM is becoming practical enough to matter.
AI is front and center as well. The AI + 3D Printing / Smart Manufacturing Forum groups generative vendors by function rather than novelty. Tripo AI, Meshy, and DreamTech are showing AI-generated 3D models. Hi3D and Deemos are showing AI-assisted editing. Quwan and SeaMe are exploring AI-to-print workflows.
The consumer side is not getting squeezed out. The Second China 3D Printing Footwear Innovation Summit returns, and the 3D Genius Hub brings together creators, designers, developers, and brands for maker talks and live sessions.
Shenzhen's unique advantage is the short distance between a prototype on a desktop and a full production run. What starts as a weekend project can move quickly into materials sourcing, hardware production, and global distribution.
More than 25 overseas buyer delegations are expected, with participants from Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, India, the US, and Germany. TCT Shenzhen is becoming a meeting point between Chinese manufacturing capability and the next generation of additive applications worldwide.
