The TinyMaker resin printer fits in a bag, runs off a power bank, and has already delivered two production batches to backers in 60+ countries.

Resin printers do not move. They sit on a desk, plugged in, vented, and surrounded by spare build plates. TinyMaker set out to change that with a printer small enough to fit in a jacket pocket and light enough to run from a phone charger.

What TinyMaker Actually Is

The TinyMaker measures 100x115x155mm and weighs 600g. The build volume is 30.6x40.8x60mm, which is squarely in the miniature and jewelry-mold territory rather than full-size props. It uses a 405nm resin tank with a gasketed cover to cut spills and odor, and prints at 0.05mm or 0.1mm layer heights from a micro SD card.

What makes it different from every other resin printer on the market is the power draw. The whole unit uses 6W, and printing itself pulls around 5W. That is low enough to run from a standard USB-C power bank. You can literally print in a coffee shop without finding an outlet.

Delivery Record Matters

TinyMaker first appeared on Kickstarter in 2022, where 1,671 backers pledged roughly $204,000. The project then moved to Indiegogo's pledge manager, where it has raised over $875,000 from 5,763 backers across more than 60 countries. Two production batches have already shipped or been delivered, and Batch 3 of 2,000 printers is now in production.

That track record is the strongest argument for buying in. Crowdfunding is full of first-time campaigns with beautiful renders and no hardware. TinyMaker has actual printers in actual hands.

Open Source By Design

The company describes TinyMaker as open source. The electronics run on an ESP32, replacing the original Atmel chip from the prototype phase. The build plate levels with a single screw, and the design files are published for community modification. Chitubox and PrusaSlicer both work on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Limitations Are Real

The build volume is small. If you want to print helmet-sized cosplay pieces, this is not the machine. The base $129 tier ships the printer alone with no wash or cure accessories, and TinyMaker does not let backers cherry-pick add-ons. Batch 3 does not have a firm ship date yet, with the team saying only that several months of work remain.

Who Should Back It

TinyMaker is built for event organizers, travelers, and anyone who wants to print miniatures without dedicating a shelf to a resin station. At $129 for the printer alone or $169 for the Premium Combo with the Go Bag, it is a reasonable entry point into resin printing for people who do not want to commit to a basement setup.
