Tripo AI closed its Series B and B+ rounds at roughly $446M, betting that AI can turn text prompts into production-ready 3D models in seconds.
Chinese AI startup Tripo AI has closed its Series B and B+ funding rounds at roughly 3 billion yuan, or about $446M, making it one of the largest raises ever for a company focused solely on AI-generated 3D content.
The round was led by MPCi, with participation from a broad mix of strategic and financial investors. Perfect World, BlueFocus, SPC, Yanqu Games, ThunderSoft, and 37 Interactive Entertainment joined alongside CDH Venture and Growth Capital, CICC, CMC Capital Partners, and several others. Existing backers including Fortune Capital and Primavera Capital also increased their stakes.
Tripo tied the raise to the preview launch of Tripo P2.0, its latest 3D-native foundation model. The company says P2.0 is the first in the industry to support quad topology natively, generating high-quality, production-ready 3D objects in seconds. That speed is the main selling point: Tripo Studio turns text prompts and 2D images into downloadable 3D models, while the enterprise-facing Tripo API lets developers embed generation into their own tools.
The funding will go toward expanding Tripo's 3D data infrastructure, adding computing capacity for training and inference, and pushing the technology into new commercial applications. The company is targeting game development, virtual reality, and embodied AI pipelines as early markets.
Tripo's raise follows a string of similarly large rounds in the AI 3D space. Meshy closed a nearly $400M Series B in July at a $1.5B valuation, and Tripo itself raised $50M earlier in 2026 backed by Alibaba and Baidu Ventures. The pace of investment suggests investors see AI-generated 3D as infrastructure for the next generation of spatial computing, not just a novelty.
