3D-Fuel's new Translucent Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, White, Black, and Smoke Black Pro PCTG filaments are tuned for FullSpectrum and other color-mixing 3D printers.
Pro PCTG Now Fits FullSpectrum's Five-Ink System
3D-Fuel has released a set of translucent Pro PCTG filaments engineered specifically for FullSpectrum and other color-mixing 3D printers. The new lineup includes Translucent Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, White, Black, and Transparent Smoke Black, filling the CMYKW foundation that multi-material systems need for realistic color mixing.
FullSpectrum printers use five separate filament channels to mix colors on the fly, but the filament choice makes a difference in the final result. Standard PETG can be brittle and struggles with layer adhesion at the fine layer heights color printing demands. Pro PCTG prints like PLA but offers impact toughness closer to PETG, making it a better fit for the repeated purges and color transitions these machines run.
3D-Fuel already sells Pro PCTG in a range of solid colors, but translucent shades matter for color mixing because they let light pass through partially blended zones. That makes mid-tones and gradients look more natural instead of muddy or oversaturated.
The company also provides pre-tuned print profiles for FullSpectrum Orca and other hosts, so users do not have to guess at temperatures or retraction settings. The profiles are available through 3D-Fuel's support portal.
For makers who already own a FullSpectrum or Bambu Lab AMS multi-color setup, the new translucent Pro PCTG line removes one of the biggest variables in getting predictable, vibrant results.
