Anycubic's Photon P1 Max enters presale with an 18.3L build volume, 12K monochrome LCD, and support for high-viscosity resins.
Big Build Volume, 12K Resolution
Anycubic has opened presale for the Photon P1 Max, a large-format resin printer with an 18.3-liter build volume. That translates to a 285 x 214 x 300 mm print area, which is large enough to hold multiple models at once or produce full-face motorcycle helmets in a single job. The 14-inch 12K monochrome LCD delivers fine layer resolution, while the light engine claims 92 percent uniformity across the entire build area.
The motion system uses a C7-grade ball screw and linear guide rails to keep positioning repeatable within plus or minus 0.01 mm. Anycubic also redesigned the release film to cut separation force by more than 60 percent, which matters when you are lifting a large print off the vat without breaking it.
Designed for Long, Unattended Prints
A temperature-controlled resin vat holds 1,900 ml and stays at up to 35 degrees Celsius. That is enough resin to finish a 300 mm tall model without a refill. The vat heats the material to keep viscosity consistent across long jobs, which reduces layer adhesion failures.
Intelligent Leveling System 3.0 checks bed leveling before each print and shows real-time force values for manual adjustment. Dynamic Release 3.0 changes lift height and speed on the fly based on actual release force, and Dynamic Light-Off Compensation 3.0 tweaks exposure times according to resin flow. An optional AI inspection module monitors the build plate, bottom-layer separation, resin level, and residue, though it ships disabled by default.
Pricing and Availability
Presale pricing starts at $849 through August 3, then rises to $899 through August 11, and finally $959 through August 31. The $849 tier includes three bonus accessories. After September 1, the bonuses end and the regular price of $1,299 applies. Shipping is extra, and the presale page does not list estimated delivery dates.
The Photon P1 Max supports resins up to 8,000 cps viscosity, which opens the door to engineering and castable materials that thicker formulations require. A quick-release build plate, tool-free screen removal, and a hinged lid that stays open beyond 45 degrees make daily operation less annoying than on older Anycubic resin models.
If you run a small production shop or need a single machine for large prototypes, the P1 Max is worth watching. The presale discount is real, but crowdfunding-style pricing usually comes with delivery risk. Wait for shipping confirmation before you commit to any production deadlines.
