Bambu Lab's largest open-bed desktop printer arrives in India with a 330x320x325 mm build volume and a sub-Rs 50,000 starting price.

Bambu Lab has formally entered the Indian market with the launch of the A2L, its biggest open-bed desktop 3D printer to date. The starting price is Rs 48,999, with a combo package including an AMS multi-material system priced at Rs 65,999. That puts the A2L within reach of Indian makers, schools, and small workshops that have been waiting for a large-format Bambu machine.

A Bigger Print Area for Less Money

The A2L offers a build volume of 330 x 320 x 325 mm. That is 105% more space than the standard 256 mm-class desktop printers. In practical terms, you can print a full-size motorcycle helmet in one go, or batch out dozens of cosplay parts overnight. The printer measures 544 x 529 x 505 mm and weighs 12.8 kg, so it still fits on a normal desk.

Servo Extruder and Vibration Control

Bambu Lab replaced the stepper motor with a closed-loop PMSM servo extruder. The result is tighter extrusion control and quieter operation. The company also added Adaptive Vibration Compensation and Granular Dampers to keep large prints smooth at high speeds. Maximum toolhead speed is 500 mm/s, with acceleration up to 10 m/s2. The heated bed reaches 80 C, and the nozzle goes up to 300 C, so you can run PLA, PETG, TPU, and some engineering filaments without swapping hardware.

Modular Add-Ons

The A2L supports optional Blade Cutting and Pen Drawing modules. Those turn the printer into a desktop plotter or vinyl cutter, which is a nice bonus for designers doing mixed-media projects. It also works with multiple AMS units for multi-color prints, and RFID spool detection handles filament changes automatically.

What This Means for Indian Makers

India has become one of Bambu Lab's fastest-growing markets over the last two years, even without an official retail presence. Makers were buying through third-party importers. A direct launch with local pricing and service channels should accelerate adoption. The Rs 48,999 price point is aggressive. It undercuts many imported large-format printers while offering the reliability and software ecosystem that made the A1 a hit worldwide.

The A2L is available now through authorized channel partners across India.
