Bambu Lab's biggest open-bed desktop printer lands in India with a 330mm build volume and a sub-$515 price tag.
Bambu Lab is making its first official brand push into India with the A2L, the largest open-bed desktop 3D printer the company has built. The printer went on sale in India this week through authorized channel partners at Rs. 48,999, which converts to roughly $515. A combo package with accessories costs Rs. 65,999, around $690. That pricing puts a genuinely large build volume within reach of creators, educators, and small studios who previously had to choose between affordable compact machines and expensive industrial systems.
The A2L's build volume measures 330 by 320 by 325 mm. That is 105 percent more printable space than standard 256 mm-class desktop machines. In practical terms, users can print larger single models, batch multiple parts at once, or avoid splitting big projects across several smaller jobs. The larger bed is the headline upgrade, but Bambu Lab added a suite of reliability features worth noting.
Adaptive Vibration Compensation adjusts the printer's motion profile based on toolhead speed and changing bed load, which helps maintain surface quality at high travel speeds. Granular dampers inside the frame reduce vibration transmission during fast moves. A closed-loop PMSM servo extruder monitors filament flow continuously, catching feeding problems before they degrade print quality. The printer also includes nozzle clog detection, nozzle clumping detection, tangled spool detection, and filament run-out detection. Silent Mode keeps acoustic output below 49 dB, making the machine viable in home offices and classrooms where noise matters.
Beyond 3D printing, the A2L supports optional Blade Cutting and Pen Drawing modules. The blade module cuts materials such as leather, fabric, and stickers, while the pen module turns the machine into a precision drawing tool. Multiple Automatic Material System units enable multi-color printing with intelligent filament management. The printer connects to Bambu Studio, the MakerWorld model library, and the Bambu Handy mobile app for remote monitoring and control.
India is one of the fastest-growing 3D printing communities globally, and Bambu Lab has been present through channel partners for roughly two years. The A2L launch marks the first official India-focused product introduction under the Bambu Lab brand directly. At Rs. 48,999, the machine is priced aggressively against other large-format options. For buyers who have outgrown smaller beds, the A2L removes the budget barrier that previously forced a compromise.
