BIQU's new Panda Lungs mounts inside compatible Bambu Lab print chambers to capture pollutants and odors during printing. It costs $99.99.
BIQU Panda Lungs Cleans the Air Inside Your Printer
BIQU has launched the Panda Lungs, an add-on air filter designed to sit inside the closed chamber of compatible Bambu Lab 3D printers. The unit uses dual-layer activated carbon and HEPA filtration to trap particles and odors during printing.
The device measures 212 by 122 by 70 millimeters and draws just 8 watts from the printer's 24-volt supply. It includes smart control for automatic operation. The housing is built from ASA, a material chosen for heat and UV resistance.
Compatibility covers most Bambu Lab models. The A1 and A1 mini require the separately sold Panda Shelter enclosure to work with the Panda Lungs. The $99.99 price puts it in the range of a couple of filament spools.
Why Chamber Filtration Matters
Enclosed printers trap heat well, but they also keep VOCs and fine particles circulating inside the box. Without active filtration, those particles settle on prints and parts, and anyone in the room breathes them in during long ABS or nylon jobs.
The Panda Lungs addresses that directly. By filtering air inside the chamber rather than at the printer's exhaust, it reduces the amount of unfiltered air that escapes when you open the door. For makers printing with ABS, polycarbonate, or nylon in home offices, that is a meaningful upgrade.
